北海道の日本一ネタ

”北海道はデッカイドー！” でおなじみ北の大地、北海道。面積は83,452㎢あり日本一ですが、北海道にはまだまだ日本一がたっくさんあります。

その中からマニアックな『ここが日本一だよ、北海道』を紹介します。

まず・・・

・北海道には市外局番がたくさんあります。

固定電話の市外局番は札幌市の「011」がトップバッターを飾ります。日本一若い市外局番でもあります。次は千歳市と恵庭市、夕張近郊の「0123」。芦別市の「0124」と続いて、最後は富良野市近郊の「0167」になります。北海道には179の市町村があるだけに市外局番もたくさんあるわけです。なかには5桁の市外局番もあるので、ハイフンがなければどこまでが市外局番なのか道民でもよく分かりません。

・北海道には温泉地の数が254もあり、温泉地日本一なのです。（平成25年3月時点）

ちなみに「温泉地」には定義があり、宿泊施設のある場所を指しています。日帰り温泉などはカウントしません。「温泉施設」でみれば静岡県、「泉源数」でみれば大分県がトップとなっています。

・北海道には日本一ながーい直線道路があります。

この直線道路は美唄（びばい）市と滝川（たきかわ）市の間にあり29.2kmあります。

北海道ですから、自然に囲まれただだっ広い土地の中を真っ直ぐにのびた道路を想像してしまいますが、実際には街中を通っているので信号があったり、建物が建ち並んだりとごく普通の道路です。

・北海道には日本一長い直線線路があります。

室蘭本線の白老駅と沼ノ端駅の間に、29.2kmの直線区間があり鉄道マニアの間で知られています。ちなみに道民は列車や電車のことを汽車と呼びます。北海道の大自然の中を走る汽車が長いあいだ利用されてきたことの名残でしょうか。

・北海道には日本一さまざまな方言があります。

開拓時代に、東北地方などからの入植者が持ち込んだ言葉や、北海道だけで使われるようになった言葉がまざっています。

・北海道には日本一広い面積を持つ町があります。

十勝にある十勝にある足寄町は町の面積が1408ｋ㎡と日本一です。ちなみに足寄町は晴天日数300日とかなり天気の良い町でもあります。

・北海道には日本一のすずらん群生地があります。

平取町幌尻岳のふもとにあり、芽生（めむ）の野性すずらん群生地は約15haと日本一の広さを誇っています。白く可憐な花は平取町の町花となっています。

・北海道は日本で最も寒い地域ですが、日本一寒暖差が激しい場所も北海道にあります。

寒暖差日本一は旭川です。旭川の過去最高気温は1989年8月7日に観測された36.0度。最低気温-41.0度との差は77.0度で、公式記録としては日本一寒暖の差が激しい場所になります。
