北海道限定のお菓子

北海道旅行へ行ったら、忘れてはいけないのが「お土産」です。道内各地や空港では、たくさんの北海道グルメが売られていますが、注目したいのが大手メーカーの「北海道限定お菓子」です。
普段、コンビニやスーパーでよく見かけるあのお菓子が、北海道限定のテイストで販売されています。

●夕張メロンハイチュウ（森永製菓）

やわらかキャンデーのパイオニア、森永ハイチュウのメロン味です。メロンの甘い香りが上手く再現されています。メロン味ハイチュウには「北海道メロン」という種類がありますが、こちらは全国の北海道フェアを開催している店舗で販売しているもので、「夕張メロン」とは別物です。他にも「ハスカップ味」が北海道限定で発売チュウ。パッケージには観光地の写真とともに謎の萌えキャラが描かれています（笑）

●ぷっちょ夕張メロン味（ＵＨＡ味覚糖）

ハイチュウのライバル商品、ぷっちょ。果敢にもハイチュウと同じ味で勝負しています。パッケージではメロンのキャラクターが観光地を旅したり熊と戯れたり…ファンシー＆ファンタジーな世界になっています。

●アポロチョコレート北海道メロン（明治製菓）

月に行った宇宙船アポロをモチーフにしたチョコレート。基本はイチゴ味ですが北海道にはメロン味があります。北海道産果汁を6%使用（生換算）してるだけあって、かなりのメロン感です。

●ジャイアントポッキー夕張メロン（グリコ）

全国各地の観光地お土産売り場ででひときわ目立つのがジャイアントポッキー。どこへ行っても毎回このお土産を出すのが、もはやネタと化していた時期がありました。北海道にももちろんあります。そしてやっぱり夕張メロン味！甘い香りがお菓子とマッチしやすいことと抜群の知名度から、この味を採用するメーカーが多いようですね。ちなみに「夕張メロン」はＪＡ夕張市の登録商標です。

●ジャイアントプリッツ鮭（グリコ）

同じくグリコさんのデカ土産、プリッツ。味は北海道在中の熊さんもおすすめの「鮭」です。鮭エキスと鮭ペーストを５％使用し、生地に練り込み、表面にもまぶしています。
パッケージには大きな「鮭」の文字と川を遡上する姿が写実的に描かれ武骨な逸品になっています。ポキポキ折ってお茶漬けのトッピングにするのがツウの食べ方です。グリコさんは他にも北海道産とうきびを36％配合した「ちっちゃなプリッツとうきび味」や、北海道産カマンベールチーズクリームを詰め込んだ「コロン北海道カマンベールチーズ」を発売中。

●ポテトチップスこんぶしょうゆ味（カルビー）

北海道はジャガイモの一大生産地です。ポテトスナックメーカー最大手、カルビーのジャガイモ貯蔵庫は北海道内だけで38棟あり、日本のジャガイモ年間消費量の実に10％がカルビーの製品に加工されています。こちらは日高産昆布を使用した贅沢な商品で、同シリーズには北海道・東北・長野のみ販売の「バターしょうゆ味」もあります。カルビーさんは「じゃがりこ」のとうもろこし版「とうもりこ」も北海道限定で発売中です。

いかがでしたか？これはまだほんの一部です。その土地だけのユニークなお菓子を探してみるのも、旅行の楽しみになりそうですね。
