北海道の人気の温泉地①

　北海道の南側にある「登別温泉」は、毎年多くの観光客が訪れていて北海道を代表する温泉地とされています。

　北海道の主要都市である札幌や函館からも行きやすい位置にあり、北海道の中でもダントツの人気を誇っています。
　さらに「にっぽんの温泉100選　総合ランキング」では、毎年上位に名を連ねていて、北海道だけでなく全国的に根強い人気があります。
　「登別温泉」の語源は、日本語でなくアイヌ語で温泉の成分が川に流れ込んだ様を表現する「ヌプル・ペツ」という言葉からきているそうです。

　「登別温泉」では、温泉の種類も豊富で硫黄泉や硫化水素泉など11種類の温泉が湧き出ているとされ、「温泉のデパート」とも呼ばれています。
　温泉宿のほかにも、地の底から湯気が立ち上がっていて、温泉地ならではの迫力ある光景を楽しむことのできる「地獄谷」というスポットも存在します。

　「洞爺湖温泉」は、「洞爺湖」のそばにあるということで、北海道の温泉地の中でも特に周りの自然に恵まれた温泉地で、四季折々の風景を楽しむことができます。
四季の風景が豊かな「洞爺湖」だけではなく、周りには有珠山や昭和新山など北海道を代表する大きな山が連なっているので、温泉に入りながら雄大な山々の景色を眺めることができますよ。
